After a week of bitter cold with extreme wind chill our new StockBoss energy free waterer is working well. We have 4 other waterers that have been consistently freezing which is making for a lot of extra work. The StockBoss waterer seems to be much better insulated and we have yet to have any float chamber frost at all. Very happy we installed the StockBoss last fall.

Bought one 4 years ago and had super good luck with it and we are now in process of changing all electric waterers over to them. Maintenance free!!!
Have had no issues with floats freezing to the lid, can see the difference in retaining heat to keep water open in colder temperature . . . great waterers, will purchase more in the future.
Definitely a big difference, we are going to continue purchasing StockBoss waterers until every winter water site has a StockBoss waterer
